Jim Jefferson
COMMISSIONER
With over a decade of experience working within government, Jim has previously served as a Constituent Relations Specialist and a Special Assistant to the New Jersey Speaker of the General Assembly. Working for the then Speaker Joseph J. Roberts Jr, he assisted residents and served as a liaison for the Speaker to the Governor's Office, Executive Branch Departments and Agencies and State, Federal and local officials.

As Gloucester County Commissioner, Jim has:

Passed 3 consecutive county tax rate decreases and a 3-year spending freeze

Ensured that seniors receive quality care in the form of nutrition sites, meal delivery, free health screenings, exercise programs, home service visits, and much more

Created the Gloucester County Addictions Task Force, bringing local communities together to address the opioid epidemic

Provided no-cost preventive health services to all residents, including general wellness exams for children

Jim lives in Woodbury with his wife Anne and his children Isaiah, Eva, and Victoria.
