Matt Weng
COMMISSIONER
​Matt has over 15 years of experience working in local government. As the former staff attorney to the New Jersey State League of Municipalities, he authored several publications, advised local leaders across the state, and partnered with policymakers in the legislature and executive branch to ensure effective, efficient government for residents.
As a Pitman Councilman and Liaison, Matt:

Worked to deliver 5 consecutive budgets with no municipal tax increase

Served a key role in Pitman's recent economic revitalization

Partnered with local law enforcement and emergency responders to help keep residents safe

Helped non-profit organizations obtain grant funding to clean and beautify the community
Matt has since volunteered in multiple roles within his hometown of Pitman, where he lives with his wife Sarah and their children Olivia and Max. He has served on the Pitman Economic Development Committee as chair, the Senior Outreach Committee, the Combined Planning and Zoning Board, the Environmental Commission, and as a youth sports coach.
